Routines to Optimize Your AM & PM

By Forza Digital

We all want to be that girl who “has a routine.” The one who floats through her mornings with lemon water in hand, somehow managing to make her bed, reply to emails, and look presentable before 9 am. Spoiler: most of us are hitting snooze and trying to remember where we left our phone charger. But here’s the thing: your AM and PM routines don’t need to look like an influencer’s highlight reel. They just need to work for you.

1. The 10-Minute Morning Rule

Not every morning allows for a 6-step skincare routine and a green juice. Some mornings you’re running out the door with yesterday’s ponytail. The hack? Pick one non-negotiable and a habit stack that can be done in 10-minutes or less.. Maybe it’s washing your face with cold water, maybe it’s making your bed. Mine is coffee. Having one ritual that anchors you, no matter how rushed you are, keeps you grounded without setting you up for failure.

2. Movement You’ll Actually Do

Forget the idea that the ideal morning routine needs to involve a 5-mile run. If you’re not a runner, forcing it just means you’ll skip it. Instead, find something you actually enjoy. A 20-minute pilates flow in your living room, a stretch while your coffee brews, or even a walk to your favorite café counts. We’re not all meant to be 6 am spin girls. Roll out a mat and call it a win.

3. Create a Commute Transition

Whether your commute is a subway ride or a walk from the bedroom to the desk, build a ritual that marks the start of your day. Put on a podcast, light a candle, or change from your pilates set into something that signals “work mode.” It’s less about the outfit and more about telling your brain the vibe has shifted.

4. The Nighttime Edit

Here’s the truth: what you do before bed sets the tone for your morning. Doomscrolling TikTok until 1 am means tomorrow’s coffee will taste like regret. Instead, edit your evening. Swap the endless scroll for a bath, a book, or even just a skincare step you love. Our version? Lighting an ‘Expensive’ candle and writing down three things that went right in the day. It makes sleep feel like closure, not a crash.

5. Romanticize the Small Stuff

Routines should be easy. Sometimes it’s just putting your phone on the nightstand instead of under your pillow, or actually drinking water before bed. One small habit that turns a  little ritual into a tiny act of self-respect. When you frame them that way, they start to feel less like chores and more like luxuries.

Remember, the goal isn’t perfection. It’s rhythm. Your AM and PM routines are less about doing everything “right” and more about giving yourself tiny touchpoints that make the day feel intentional. And if that looks like pilates in the morning and chocolate in bed at night, you’re still doing it right.
