Being in-the-know about the new trendy “it” spot is great, but have you been on a vacation to a place no one has posted about yet?

I’m Lana, a luxury travel advisor, here to share about a few of my favorite underrated trips you should take this year. Whether you're stealing away with someone special or your most cherished besties, these holiday spots deserve a moment.

Anguilla

If you’re looking for a chic, unpretentious island with luxury vibes, Anguilla is your place. Anguilla has the most beautiful beaches, luxury resorts and is more accessible than St. Barts with direct fights from Miami (no tiny plane required). Two of my favorite resorts to stay at are Cap Juluca, a Belmond hotel and Malliouhana. Be sure to take a trip to the 300-year-old Zemi Thai House Spa that has a hammam and enjoy dinner at Pimms for beautiful views.

Formentera, Spain

Formentera is known as the little sister to Ibiza. Where luxury meets natural beauty, this island is for sure to make you feel grounded. Relax on the beach, take a yoga class, or explore the island by biking around the charming villages. Stay at Teranka, a beachfront hotel with the best service and views, or Can Tres for an apartment style stay.

Nihi Sumba

This resort in Indonesia is the destination! If you don’t mind the journey to arrive, a visit to Nihi Sumba is an exclusive and breathtaking retreat. Who doesn’t love barefoot luxury on a private island surrounded by wild horses? When not swimming with horses, you can play padel, go jet skiing or relax at the beach club.

Corsica

Everyone has their eyes on Sardinia this year, but I would add Sardinia’s neighbor, Corsica, to your list. Corsica is where French elegance meets Italian passion on a rugged Mediterranean island. Think dramatic coastlines, mountain villages, and cuisine that borrows the best from both France and Italy. It’s perfect for hiking in the new Set Active x Salomon set. My favorite hotel here is U Capu Biancu, a family owned cliffside hotel in the heart of the Gulf of Sant’Amanza.

Arcadia, Greece

One of my new favorite stays is a hotel called MANNA, hidden in the mountains of Arcadia, Greece. A place for relaxation, peace, and wellness activities. I spent a few days here in October and find it is a great year round location. Perfect for hiking in the summer or enjoying a snowy mountain view in the winter. The Arcadia region is known for its honey! Be sure to have the yogurt bowl at breakfast and try the local pearl honey.

Big Sky, Montana

While everyone is heading to Park City or Aspen, Big Sky is having a moment with the opening of the new One&Only Moonlight Basin. This is where the mountains meet true luxury, before everyone else catches on. In the winter, find uncrowded slopes and snowy mountain views. In the summer, go horseback riding, swimming or hiking.
