Everything In Your Cart Says Something About You

The Sephora Spring Sale starts April 10

for Forza Digital

When thinking about what to add to cart this Sephora sale, there is a particular kind of product worth considering. Not the one that's all over your feed, but the one that just works quietly and consistently and never gives you a reason to go looking for something else. There are approximately 4,000 serums that would like you to believe they qualify.

The Sephora sale runs April 10 through April 20 with code SPRINGSALE, and it's the one time a year I stock up on the things I've already been buying, because no one needs a drawer full of empties.

What follows is a fairly honest account of what those things are and why they stayed.

Sofie Pavitt is the esthetician everyone in New York is trying to get an appointment with (clients include Lorde and Zendaya, so that waitlist is not moving). Her line carries the same logic her facials do: targeted, unfussy, effective. The Mandelic Acid Exfoliating and Clearing Serum is the one I recommend most. 8% mandelic acid, gentle enough to use daily, the kind of thing that quietly solves a problem you stopped expecting to solve. The Screentime SPF and the Clean Clean Cleanser are my other favorite products that function as a complete routine without feeling like one.

Mary Phillips is in a similar category. She is the person behind Hailey Bieber's skin, Kendall Jenner's skin, Zoe Kravitz's skin, basically every red carpet face in the last decade that made you think "how." The line she built reflects that. The Le Skin Weightless Serum Foundation launched in February, sold out fast, and is currently the answer to every "what foundation do I use with the Underpainting Palette" question that has been sitting in her comments since 2024. The Underpainting Face Highlight and Contour Palette is the product that made underpainting a household word. The Foundation Brush lives next to both of them.

For those dark spots post-breakout, the Topicals Faded Tranexamic Acid Dark Spot Patches are the low-effort, high-return option. Stick them on overnight, do nothing, notice the difference. The brand was founded by Olamide Olowe, who grew up with eczema and hyperpigmentation and built the whole thing around the idea that dealing with your skin shouldn't feel like a punishment.

On the makeup side, the Natasha Denona Mini Eye Sculpt Palette is the most reached-for palette I own, which is a meaningful distinction. The Rare Beauty Brow Pencil was given to me by a friend and now I am confused how I ever existed without it. The YSL Lines Liberated Eyeliner does the perfect chaos eyeliner. The Makeup by Mario brushes are the kind of unsexy essentials you only appreciate after you've been using them long enough to forget what you did before.

Either you are a lip liner person or you aren't. Most days I line my lips, dab a gloss, and call it done. The number of times someone has asked if I've had filler is genuinely not small, and the answer is always just: liner placement. The Kulfi Lassi Lips Staining Lip Liner is the one for people who want a little more intention behind it. Ultra-creamy, blendable, fades into a 10-hour stain. The Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil is the one that just lives in every bag, every makeup kit, every "I don't know what I'm doing tonight" situation. Both are worth stocking up on while the sale runs.

The rest of the list doesn't fit into a neat category, which is usually a good sign. The ROZ Milk Leave-In Conditioner is one of those recent finds that earns its place fast. Built by Mara Roszak, the hairstylist behind more good hair moments than you can name, and it shows. The Rare Beauty Mini Find Comfort Body Lotion has lived in my travel bag since I was gifted the full size and has never left. The DedCool Xtra Milk Eau de Parfum is the fragrance I get the most questions about. Warm musk, bergamot, amber. Smells like skin but better. Genderless by design, somehow good on everyone, and the kind of thing people smell on you and immediately want to know about.

The full edit is linked below. Rouge members get in first on the 10th, everyone else on the 14th. Some of these you'll already know, but stock up anyway.
